The Ram, without its rear armor to show its HPU, traverses to an electric furnace and locks in position. The ram extends to push built-up scrap from the door's tunnel floor into the furnace. The ram also pivots to clear the tunnel completely .

Scrap and solidified slag is removed safely and effectively by equipment engineered to withstand an abusive environment and heat. (Note the refractory/castable anchors on the front of the unit.)
